Cameroon Debate Academy
In partnership with the World Debate Institute (WDI) and the Catholic University of Cameroon, CDA co-organized the CD Academy in 2012 and 2013. This annual event aims to provide Cameroonian speakers with the expertise of professionals in public speaking and communication from foreign universities. The event takes place once a year over an intense period of seven to fifteen days.
Regional School Workshop for Public Speaking Training
The regional public speaking training workshop for secondary school is a mobile caravan program for the popularization of oral, reading and book practices in high schools and colleges in Cameroon. The objective is to strengthen the general culture of learners, to prepare them for the impact of globalization, but also and above all to improve their academic performance. The first caravans took place in 2012 and 2013, targeting high schools and colleges in the following cities: Yaoundé, Douala, Bamenda, Buea and Bafoussam. The association’s objective is to reach the ten main cities in Cameroon’s ten regions. However, this requires enormous resources.
