ANAO recruits English-speaking training assistants for the 2026–2027 oratory season
The Cameroonian National Academy of Oratory (ANAO) is pleased to announce the recruitment of two English-speaking Training Assistants for the 2026–2027 Oratory Season. This is a unique opportunity for passionate educators, communication enthusiasts, and public speaking professionals who wish to contribute to the development of a new generation of eloquent speakers and leaders in Cameroon and beyond.
Founded in 2023 and hosted by Debate Cameroon (2009), the national umbrella organization for orality and debate in Cameroon, ANAO operates in partnership with the International Network for the Promotion of the Arts and Orality (RIPAO). The Academy provides professional training and certification in public speaking, eloquence, debate, leadership communication, and oral expression for pupils, students, professionals, and coaches across Africa, Europe, and Asia.
As ANAO continues to expand its programs and regional activities, we are seeking dynamic and committed English-speaking professionals to support our training and academic operations in Douala and Yaoundé.
About the position
The selected candidates will work closely with ANAO trainers and academic coordinators to assist in the organization and delivery of public speaking and leadership training sessions.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education, communication, leadership development, and youth empowerment.
Main responsibilities
The Training Assistants will contribute to the smooth implementation of ANAO training activities, including:
- Assisting lead trainers during workshops and certification programs.
- Supporting classroom organization and participant coordination.
- Monitoring attendance and learner engagement.
- Facilitating communication with trainees.
- Assisting with training materials and educational logistics.
- Contributing to the development of a positive and professional learning environment.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be between 25 and 40 years old.
- Be a native English speaker.
- Have a strong interest in public speaking, debate, communication, education, or leadership development.
- Not currently be a member of another debate or public speaking network.
- Be available for the scheduled part-time training sessions.
