Brainball 2026: Cameroon Officially Launches Competition on February 9th and 10th at the French Institute

Yaoundé, Cameroon – Cameroon is preparing to resonate with the energy of innovative national public speaking strategy with the official launch ceremony of Brainball 2026, the first edition of this Full Cameroon national Public Speaking Contest, scheduled for February 9th and 10th, 2026, at the French Institute of Cameroon (IFC) in Yaoundé and Douala, respectively. This event, inspired by Édouard Glissant’s “Tout Monde” (The Whole World), will mark the national debut of a unique, multifaceted discipline where mental strength becomes the true driving force of performance.
The National Brainball Competition is an intellectual and playful competition that highlights the cognitive skills, quick thinking, teamwork, and creativity of young people. Inspired by the principles of education and entertainment, Brainball is designed as an “intelligence match” where participants compete in challenges of general knowledge, logic, innovation, and public speaking.
Brainball: A Sport That Puts Intelligence at the Heart of the Game
An innovative concept at the crossroads of sport, science, and personal development, Brainball relies on the ability of its “speaker-athletes” to mobilize concentration, emotional control, and mental strategy. Through this approach, Brainball aims to transform the traditional view of public speaking by valuing both mind and body.
Two Days of Exchanges, Demonstrations, and Discoveries
The launch ceremony, which will take place over two days at the IFC, will bring together institutional stakeholders, educational leaders, professionals, artists, young talents, and partners. The program includes official presentations on the vision and objectives of Brainball 2026, practical demonstrations of the sport, panel discussions on mental sports and innovation, and cultural events showcasing local creativity.
Brainball 2026: An Opportunity for Cameroonian Youth
Through this initiative, Debate Cameroon (CDA) aims to provide Cameroonian youth with a platform for expression, training, and excellence, fostering concentration and stress management, self-confidence, teamwork and leadership, as well as inclusion and personal development through brain sports.
On the Road to an Ambitious Edition
The ceremony on February 9th and 10th at the French Institute of Cameroon (IFC) marks the official launch of Brainball 2026 activities in Cameroon. Awareness campaigns, registration, and competitions will be rolled out progressively nationwide. With Brainball 2026, Cameroon affirms its commitment to an innovative, intelligent, and future-oriented sport.
